How can I ride the train?

Choo Choo! Take a step back in time aboard the historic Zoo Railway

This 6-minute excursion circling a 20-foot-high elevated trestle in the forest north of Elephant Lands replicating the path the train took back in 1958 when it first opened. One ride on the train equals one ticket.

• When the train is operating, it opens at 10:30 a.m. and closes at zoo closure time. 
• Currently operations are weather dependent during zoo operation. 
• The price is $5 per rider. Members receive a 10% discount. Please show proof of membership to receive discount onsite.
• Everyone needs to have a ticket to ride. Infants (ages 0-1) tickets are free.
• Boarding occurs every 15 to 20 minutes. Expect a short wait while others are boarding.
• Please note that animals may not be visible from the train.
• Train & carousel tickets are non-refundable, however, these tickets are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. A train or carousel ticket does not include zoo entry and must be accompanied by a zoo admission ticket.
