While we would love to give all of our reservations to our members, as a cherished community asset Oregon Zoo must remain available to the entire community, including those who simply cannot afford to support the zoo above the cost of a single general admission ticket.
Member visits account for between 35-38% of our total visits in any given year. Timed ticketing has changed how everyone can visit and makes the experience better for everyone overall by managing crowd size and helping with parking lot flow.
There may be times that it appears that there are more general admission tickets available than member tickets, but that is usually because members tend to plan their visits further in advance than the general public, who often purchase tickets up to within an hour of their visit.
We recommend planning ahead and also checking back for member tickets on dates that were previously sold out.
Because we ask our members to let us know when they have to cancel their visits so that we can make their tickets available to other members, we often see tickets become available as late as within a few hours before a desired visit time.
